This seems to happen about 1 out of 10 times that I come out of "warp" into a sector where there's a base. Sometimes the screen freezes, sometimes it goes completely black, and sometimes the skyboxes go away (asteroids and base still there). I can work around the freeze and black screen by switching terms (e.g., Ctrl+Alt+F2 and back), but this has to be done quickly so I don't run into anything. Skyboxes don't fix -- they're gone until I land, although I haven't tried leaving the system and coming back.

Oooh, there's a new 6629 driver out -- I'll try that. Anyone else ever have problems like this?
