For Gentoo users, just paste the first line from 'emerge info' like so:
Portage 2.0.50-r6 (default-x86-2004.0, gcc-3.3.3, glibc-2.3.3_pre20040420-r0, 2.6.5-gentoo-r1)
Running the 2.6.5-r1 kernel from gentoo-dev-sources, and libc with NPTL support
Also, Gnome 2.6(.1), alsa 1.0.4, xorg-x11 6.7.0, nvidia 1.0.5336 drivers, all on an ~x86 system.
Anyone here tried Y-Windows yet ? Or the FD.org XServer ?

Gentoo:
'emerge info' yields: Portage 2.0.50-r8 (default-x86-2004.0, gcc-3.3.3, glibc-2.3.3.20040420-r0, 2.6.5-gentoo-r1)
P3 1 Ghz, 512 MB, Radeon 9500 Pro, SB Audigy
XFree 4.3.0-r5
KDE 3.2.2
Dual booting with WinXP, whenever I've got to scratch that Windows gaming itch. *blech*
Been thinking about switching over to the FD.org XServer, myself. A few posts up on Gentoo.org's forums said it was relatively painless, but XFree's working fine for me right now. Maybe later.

That is to say - Gentoo ~x86 with gentoo-sources (2.4 with a buttload of pathches and backports from 2.6).
Using KDE 3.2.3 (occationally fluxbox, when artsd gets in the way too much)
Running ATI binary drivers for a Radeon 9100 (yeah I know..)
You know what we need? A desktop screenshot thread! Maybe one for "off topic" that :P

Distro:
-Debian GNU/Linux Sid
Kernel/drivers:
-Using ALSA for my SB Live!
-Patched-up 2.4.26 kernel (Don't think it counts as 2.4.26, but it's close)
-non-free nVidia drivers (allways latest, no matter if they broke stuff: I love testing drivers)
Hardware:
-nVidia GeForce FX GPU
-1GB RDRAM
-1.9GHz Xeon Foster CPU
Software:
-XF86 4.3 using IceWM
-Libs and stuff (compiler included) "allways" up to date
Who cares if it's stable if it's not fun?
I only have 34 days now on my shamelessly patched kernel :D
[Edit]
Allmost forgot to start the flamewar!
This sort of thread allways ends in flaming!
Gentoo? http://www.funroll-loops.org/
Slackware? http://linuxhelp.homeunix.com/slacksucks.txt
(I didn't make either page, and I don't agree with everything on them, it's just a joke on my part)
