So i am completely new to Linux. The problem im having is when i launch vendetta it drops my screen resolution t0 800x600. If i try to change it in game the game crashes and my desktop is set to that resolution. I can fix that easily. Anyone have any soulutions? I have the latest nvidia graphics update installed... not sure if i missed installing something else due to exaustion at time of set up.

Is this a laptop? Can you open a terminal, and enter lshw -c video and then copy/paste the output here? This command will list any video cards and the filename of the driver they are using. It will enable the community to identify two things. 1) Is this a laptop or AIO that has hybrid graphics, and 2) Are you using the proprietary driver from Nvidia or the Nouveau driver from Mesa. (if you can answer these questions confidently then the command is not needed)
