Install Path
Hi, is it possible to change the install path?, i don't want those directories in my HOME path.
Thanks
Thanks
I think the answer depends on why you don't want the .vendetta directory in your home directory.
The installer print the following message when you run it:
Every time Vendetta is run, it actually runs an update program which
downloads and stores new game content files in your home directory under
~/.vendetta/.
If you would prefer to store the game data in a different place, please
abort this script, make a directory where you'd like to store the game,
create a symbolic link with ln -s <directory> ~/.vendetta, and make sure
your regular user account has permission to write files there.
I read this as basically a "no" with regard to not "polluting" the home directory, since the updater will always download files into ~/.vendetta.
If, like me, you just want to store the files in a different location (e.g. an external drive or something) then the symbolic link should work for you.
