Resolution, window and fullscreen mode issues.

Dec 10, 2017 Yaroze link
This is still not fixed, if I go back to fullscreen after being windowed the game stops accepting input from the keyboard.
Also its a hassle to even get the game to run at a good resolution, (It detects a 6000x1440?? and or 1024x768 Display??) removing the configs, reinstalling the game etc can temporarily fix this.
It seems i am doomed to play it in Window mode and never ever touch the graphics settings once its semi working. :/

Are you using more than one screen? What hardware, distro, vo version (32/64 bit)? OpenGL 4 or ref?

With Linux there are quite a lot of variables so knowing a bit more could help us to help you!

There aren't that many variables.

Unless you use the config file overrides. For me, Vendetta always seems to show these video modes when used on a XRandR multi-monitor (non-zaphod mode) Linux system:

- The size of your entire virtual desktop, including off-screen portions.
- The supported modes of your upper-left-most display, disregarding any transformation or rotation.
- Some oldschool hard-coded presets like 1024x768
- None of the modes of any other monitors.

That is why I asked if he was using more than one screen. Sorry I did not mean to send you on the defence ARF, but there are many variables with Linux, multiple screens being one of them. Kernel version, Mesa Build, Xorg Version?

Gaming in general is bad on Linux, look at the state of SteamOS! So many distro's so little time, and some of them are just plain old bad, do I have to mention how I hacked a Qubes system by just elevating a csh to root over and over? I think they just found the same bug on Mac OSX but this is another story.

Yes, there are many variables on Linux, and supporting them all is not possible but asking the question can sometimes lead to an answer, dont be a dick.

Got the exact same issue (tho single screen setup). I use a laptop witha 4K screen that I'd like to set to Full-HD in VO. Trying to change res ingame is not possible, only 4K is offered. When I set the res manually in the config it works, tho VO does not catch key events apparently.

I run ArchLinux, X with Intel driver, Gnome
Log files do not show any abnormalities.

Thanks and merry christmas,
