Yeah, there's a bug with playing the ambient music if there is no sound driver loaded in the game. It is fixed for the next update.

I have the same problem, i think.
I have no sounddrivers at all(my choise)
The game chrashes even before the logon screen
(while loading textures)
/dev/dsp:no such device.....

Next update you say.

from the last update vendetta stop working,i think it has
problems with the sound, because in console returns:

$ vendetta
/dev/dsp: Input/output error

any ideas???

Note: the sound never work and i'm using alsa.
(the update was 3.3.6)
