Checksums don't match, amd64 torrent

Downloaded the amd64 installer through torrent, checksums don't match on install. Going to try direct download.

Edit: Direct downloaded installer seems to be working fine.

The torrent may have been corrupted on one of the seeding computers - good thing you did not ignore the problem.

It's actually weird, because iirc there are checksums for each part of the torrent that is downloaded.

The torrent client should simply have redownloaded the broken part(s) from another source.

Which torrent program did you use?

I'm using rtorrent, running on my headless fileserverver. I restarted the rtorrent client, and forced a hash check (the client is configured to do this every time it finishes a download). The client doesn't seem to redownload anything, but when I now run the the install script it verifies fine. I'm not certain it's the hash check that fixed the problem. Maybe there was some kind of corruption copying (nfs protocol) from my fileserver to my main box the last time.

I've got the same problem. I've downloaded from torrent and direct and get the sha256sum of:
c8380b1967a0f55827e209b85b58a4a898f1d92eb3e036b17279583cda522149
on both. Trying to launch is segfaulting, but that could be my system.

The segfaulting was a bad GTK+ theme (default kubuntu) on my system. Curious about the checksums, though. Since they're the same on both torrent and direct, but different from what the download page says they're suppose to be.
