Entering universe delay

Attempting again at 14:27 UTC w/ character "Major Are Soul" & pause occured, in excess of 8 mins. Eventually let in after cancelling & attempting to re-enter.
Tried from more than one internet connection, similar occurrences. Do not have a Windows or Mac around to test other OS.

What distro, version, box specs?
Try "preload all resources". Also check FW settings, maybe VO port is closed, dont know which, but UDP.
