my monitor loses signal from my graphics card after I launch vendetta from the updater.

I am running Vendetta on a Slack based system with Kernel version 2.6.27.12 and an ATI RadonHD Sapphire graphics card.

I had vendetta running 2 days ago with the default kernel and the previous version of vendetta.

things that have change in the last 2 days:
Recompiled Kernel with 64Gb high RAM and PAE enabled
Recompiled ATI graphics card driver
Vendetta 1.8.87 came out.

Any help you guys can give me would be great.

Try turning down the resolution in config.ini and see if that works?

Try other OpenGL software and make sure that that still works?

it seems like OpenGL is the problem I guess I have to re configure it every time I mess with my graphics card's drivers.

or not, I ran glxgears and the other OpenGL demos work but other OpenGL games are having issues.
my graphics card's OpenGL setting is direct rendering, I don't know if that make a difference.
