Using Linux (Ubuntu 8.10)

The updater downloads every time I start the game a file that is 152220k in size.
Also every time I login I get the EULA screen.
Dunno if this is suppose to happen :-)
Some quick answers:
the .vendetta folder had read/write/execute permissions
Installed default to my home folder.
everything else works fine.
Love the game > subscribed!
:-)

Is your disk by any chance full? The updater doesn't handle that too well.
5 gigabyte free.. Not that much but should be enough a guess..
about the download: What I am seeing as a download action, actually is a verify action?
But then still, that EULA dialog at the start.. Is that the normal thing to start with?
Anyway, Thanks for your quick reply!

If you run a bandwidth monitor on your PC (or in your router) you'll see that it is downloading very little most of the time.
When VO do a new release (once a week?), then the updater downloads more data, but it doesn't seem to be as much data as the values imply, so I'm guessing it is some form of binary patch file.
Yes, the EULA is displayed each time - just look at the date to see if it has been changed or not, and then do whatever you usually do with EULAs if they've changed:-)

doh .. yeah. I was more thinking of less than 200mb.
If it says "Version is current. Verifying files" in the status line it's just verifying.

Aaah ok :-)
Thank you both for the help..
