To the Guild Software developers and management:
I am just writing to pledge my support to this game because of its great linux support. Well done. I have purchased a 2 year subscription because of my gratitude that you recognize my OS of choice in your development decisions.
Thanks greatly.

You WIN sir.
Same here. I subscribed only for a month for now since I want to see whether I'll still have fun after some more hours (and probably even more beers too) but I really do appreciate your linux versions since this is a wind*ws-free zone here :) I'm going to try your 64bit client at the end of the week too and I'm going to spread the word to our linux gaming community ;)
"me too", I was just going to give the trial a swing and I was so impressed with how well this game runs on Linux I just subscribed myself :D
Let us know if you encounter problems or need help, many a linux guru about.
Also, the 64bit binaries work great, I use them myself with gentoo with no problems, felt good to move from the 32bit.

I subscribed too because they have linux native version and even 64bit.
Cheers to guildsoftware.

Me too! I've subscribed too because they have a native linux version. Good to see some game developers are taking the linux platform seriously! You are to be commended
Put me on the list of Linux support supporter. ;)
I'm still playing the trial, but the client works so great that I'm most likely signing up for a subscription.

Exactly ! I'm pleased to see that, in the game industry, we can find some programmers who *really* know about cross-platform development.
I'm new to VO, I started with the trial. Once I've seen that there is native *nix support, I did not wait for my trial account to end and decided to pay the monthly fee. Even if in the end the game doesn't suit my needs, I won't regret that. I'm glad to support this.
Keep up the good work guys ! You definitely deserve our support, and this must be noticed.

Aye, not only that it got native linux client but also one that supports AMD64 (it's so rare, wow) so i will catch this bandwagon and say "thank you very much" :D
I too am supporting this and just subscribed after playing through the trial period... as a longtime linux user I have been looking around for well-supported games that run in Linux and totally am going to recommend this to other people.
Put me on the list, became a member and enjoying it very much. I installed the AMD64 client and have had 0 issues. Thanks
I also decided to subscribe due to VO's Linux 64 support. I left Eve because they discontinued their support. So thanks and I love seeing such good frame rates on my Linux box!
Seconded. Youguys rule. Keep up the great work! :D
I would be interested to know what the rough distribution of users is across platforms. Do you have any good data on that? Because I think I remember Inc mentioning once that you have almost as many Mac players as Windows players, and I'm sure Linux is also represented in a significantly higher percentage than its market share because there are so few Linux games.

Thanks, guys. Your praises are appreciated.
We have slightly less numbers of linux 64 vs linux 32 players playing at any given time.
There's about 20% linux, about 30% mac, and about 50% windows logged in at any time, rounded to the nearest tens.

depends where I am at which os I am using. With that said though. What made me interested in game was actually fact it runs on linux. Also one of biggest reasons I subbed up.
yeh the linux supp is great :)
I've buyed a 3-month and a 6-month subscription.
When everything is going well I'm purchasing a 2-years sub @01.2010
would be cool if you could ask canonical (the company behind "ubuntu") to add vendetta to their repository (they've a repo for closed source software, so it shouldn't be a big deal)
you only have to create a .deb file ;)

I pay each month because I think Guild should get as much money as they can from me for making available a Linux client. :)
I agree with Detructor, though. Having the client available in Ubuntu's repository would definitely bring in more Linux users. You could even do something with Canonical where people get, say, a 16 hour trial if downloaded through the repository.

Definitive reason I'm on Vendetta is Linux support.
Surely, overall gameplay is great, and most of community also.
Also, I like the aspect of "release-often" aspect, small but constant improvements, and devs-players close relation.
Congratulations to the Guild Devs!!!

Just wanna say, Thanks for building a game for all.
Maybe some of the other game companies will take note.
