Some problems:
Some key combinations cant react.
I thing A+Q+F and D+E+R cannot rotate.
Some ugly "lags" (but nothing can react, screen is frozen and sometimes sound too). Alt+Ctrl+Backspace need many time for restart Xserver.
Ubuntu Gutsy, 64 bit.
AMD 3800+ x2, 1024 ram, video ati 512 MB (drivers ati 7-11)

These problems weren't present for you in 1.8.3?
I run the same OS and have had no issues what so ever with 1.8.4 . What video card are you using and what driver version?
The key thing is one of two things from my experience.
1. If those key combinations used to work and no longer do, you should try messing with your keyboard driver in xorg.
2. If they have never worked, its possible your keyboard is unable to pick up all those keypresses at once. Thats a problem related to how keyboards are designed in general, and is only fixable by trying another keyboard.
