Thus far, I am unable to update VO on my x86_64 Ubuntu Gutsy install. The update says it is negotiates with host, and then stops at updating.

Here is what I see:

I've entered the port 21024 into my router to be sure a firewall wasn't stopping it, but the problem still persists.

Edit: At the bottom of the update utility it reads, "Patching version vendetta-1.7.14.2 to vendetta-1.7.48.1...
can't open drivers/gkalsa.so! aborting!"

I guess it wasn't a connection issue...

maybe it's a permission problem. how did you install the game?

if you installed it with sudo do a:
sudo chown justin:users -R /home/justin/.vendetta/

or delete /home/justin/.vendetta/ and reinstall without sudo.
