Resolution fixed at 1920x1200
Disclaimer: I've just upgraded to xorg 7 this morning. Running Gentoo/AMD64.
I normally play VO in a window at around 1400x1000 (I fail to recall the exact dimensions) size. My desktop is 1920x1200. I've just logged on (after a few days not playing), downloaded the upgrade, and noticed that the window now takes up most of the screen, and the view doesn't actually fit inside the window (top and bottom of the display are cropped).
I go to the options to shrink the window, but the only option listed is 1920x1200, which means I can't actually play it in windowed mode.
Is this a new bug that's been introduced in the last few days? I've tried UT2004, and that is still behaving as it always did (running in a window, somewhat smaller than the screen), so I'm not immediately convinced that it's all the fault of the upgrade from xorg 6.9 to 7.0.
Anyone else seen this problem? Any ideas on a fix?
The config.ini lists the xres/yres as 1920x1200. Normally the graphics options will list a wide range of resolutions.

The only settings you can use in full screen mode are the modes listed in your xorg.conf file. If you only included "1920x1200", then you can't use any other modes.
It's not full screen that's the problem (I don't play in full screen mode), it's the windowed mode which is a problem, and that shouldn't be affected by the listed modes in xorg.conf (except maybe to provide a maximum size).
The list of window sizes for *windowed* mode now only includes 1920x1200 and nothing smaller.

The game always lists the same modes for fullscreen and window mode and because it gets the modes from the x server only valid screen modes are listed for both. Yes, that's dumb :P
Adding a new modeline fixed it. It also means I've now got a much better window size than before. xorg 6.8 must provide some modes by default, since my config file didn't change between 6.8 and 7.0.
Cheers for the suggestions.
