CONSOLE problem...
I have tried defining almost every key for the "Toggle console" action, and console never pops up!!
What could be the problem ... ?
What could be the problem ... ?
I have had the same problem myself
In my case it was because I had an azerty keyboard, and because it is mapped at this key ~. For azert you needed to press ALT GR and that isn't possible in the game, not for windows at least, in my opinion neither for Linux, because it makes you go to desktop.
The solution for this was just adjusting the keyboard config file, I thought it was wgaf.cfg or something like that and map the toggle console buttom to another key.
Another way is, using the in game options menu to change the keyboard mappings. but you first have to delete the one it has entered with backspace and then putting in a new one. It doesn't like double mapped keys.
I hope this helped
cheers
PS if you really want a more professional explication check out the explanation in the windows board ;)

yeah, i've tried mapping other keys, but never tried taking off the one there... I'll give it a try, thanks
-- EDIT --
Yeah, I did try backspace, nut instead of deleting the mapped key, it maps "BACKSPACE"...
-- EDIT --
editing .cfg worked!! thanks!

As I mentioned in another thread in another forum ("console in winXP" in Bugs), to clear out bindings on an item:
Hover your mouse over the item you want to clear. DON'T CLICK. Press backspace. The binding should now say (none). If you click and it starts flashing, you end up mapping backspace.

I didn't know that... Whenever you guys update the manual, could you maybe stick that in?
