As soon as I try to change from 1440x900(32) to 1152x720(32) and from Fullscreen to Windowed then, hit the "Apply" button, VO freezes and I have to command+option+esc to get free.

Actually, does VO freeze? I just tried it and the screen stayed black but I was able to press Esc and I heard VO making the button sounds and then hitting Esc again until VO exited properly. I wasn't logged in, just doing it from the main menu.
Obviously a bug though.

hi ray, i've had the same problem as you described; what do you think of enabling command+H or command-Tab? anything to easily switch out of fullscreen would be awesome

Dont have this problem on my system but, if i minimise the VO window run an app ( like safari ) and then quit, the mouse pointer disappears and i can hear the button noises even though the window is minimised.

When you minimize VO, were you running it in window mode or was it fullscreen mode?

My problem is trying to change from full-screen to window. Not minimizing.

I cant minimise the VO screen at all unless its in windowed mode.

RelayeR EXACTLY the same problem here when going from 1024 to 800 on my 15 inch imac flatpanel. And been like that for a few releases now. Fullscreen to window mode locks up VO.. i forcequit to get out.

actually, i have had that problem once before, but instead of just freezing my game, everyone was logged off. this was when ananzi and i and others heated a roid to 11,000 it was during that time (or was 110,000, yah i think it was that and it logged us at about 55,000)

I can change resolution in config and then change from full screen to window in-game but, as soon as I try to change resolutions in-game, VO freezes. (Yes, I still get the button sound when I hit esc numerous times to quit VO.)

Well, VO didn't freeze if you can still hear button sounds. It seems that the rendering is just not going through if you see a black screen.

We don't have an iMac with a lcd monitor to test with, unfortunately.

FME, this only occurs if you change the resolution at the same time as the windowed/fullscreen mode.

OK, I fixed a problem with going from fullscreen to windowmode of a different resolution.
ie. going from 1024x768 fullscreen to 800x600 windowmode at the same time will not clear the screen and put VO into a window.

A workaround is to do it in 2 steps, change windowmode first, and then change resolution or vice versa.
