i just got myself an account and downloaded the game but every time i try and connect to the server it says i time out. not sure what to do any help would be nice. thanks!

Do you have a firewall installed that may be preventing you from connecting to our server?

i have firewall software my computer but its off. i even tried making a new port for UDP (21141) but it didn't work. do you think it has anythign to do with connection speed i'm on a low end DSL line? 20-42k sec

i think i figured out the prob. because my DSL line is on a router attached to a different computer it has its own firewall. i'm not sure how to change those settings but i can call my interent provider and they should be able to. So until Monday...

Look on your router if NAT status is enabled.
Try to the port forwarding,but normally it's not necessary

Not sure what NAT status is and not sure where to find port forwarding. In short I’m really lost when it comes to figure this out on a PC.

I have the same problem, sixty seconds after the log in screen, my connection to the server times out. This happens with or without the firewalls (one on my mac, one on my hybrid wireless/ethernet cable modem (orion 3000)) active. I'm running 10.2.8 on my 867 g4 and I get the same result on my dual 1.8 G5 (10.3.5) when I tried it there. Both computers hook up directly through ethernet.
My account is listed as Subscriber and I haven't applied a pre-order or retail code since Gamestop hasn't sent either to me yet.
