Any way to set monitor refresh in-game?
Hello y'all,
I use a 15" Radius LCD with a Radeon 8500/64MB AGP card. Native res is 1024x768, so that's well and good, but this monitor gets noticeable line flicker at certain refresh rates - notably 75 Hz, which I believe is what Vendetta keeps resetting it to. Normally I keep it at 70 Hz, and I've tried switching from fullscreen to windowed and back and resetting the refresh manually (in Displays prefs), but switching back to fullscreen into Vendetta resets it to 75 Hz.
Any way to instruct the engine on what refresh rate to use?

*) you didn't post the platform
*) in linux the resolutions are listed multiple times, including the refresh rate of each, the ones most-left in the list are probably the ones you want to use.

Heh, seeing that he posted in the OS X forum, I'n betting he's using OS X.
There's a setting in the config.ini file located inside the Vendetta Online bundle.
The setting is under the [refgl] section and it's called def_freq. It defaults to 0 which is instant. Try setting it to something like 75 and see if that works.
I actually don't remember if that setting even works right now though. We'll need to make it available in the Options menu eventually.

Heh good call raybondo, I am indeed on OS X.
I'll give that .ini tweak a try, thank you.

That setting does indeed correct my refresh problem.
