yay vendetta
im just making a good news post for the sake of karma and to let the devs know we appreciate their work.
i jsut started playing vendetta this weekend and have been largely impressed with the mac client. it has been very stable and smooth for the most part on my aluminum Powerbook (10.3.5). there have been some graphical slowdowns (ie looking at a station, though i havnt tried the doshaders work around yet) but everything else has been great, and lag has been pretty well non-existant.
i'm really looking forward to seeing if Vendetta takes all that is good about Escape Velocity and merges it with a 3D engine and thousands of other players.

Nice to see an ethusiastic mac gamer :). I welcome you to the Vendetta universe on behalf of the not-so-small mac user percentage!
I know it bears a somewhat striking resemblance to EV at times, but I really see V:O as a class of its own.
I think that at present, it's very much like EV because of it's nonexistent content, but once this gets remedied, it should be much more player-oriented, especially concerning storylines (player-influenced opposed to linear).
