Great, just when I get the latest verison of OS X I gotta fork over another $129 for the upgrade. Thank you, Apple!!
PS: I'm sure it'll be a nice OS but this whole "pay-for-upgrade" crap is getting extremely annoying. Microsoft tactics, anyone?

Announce release date, push back, push back, stop announcing release date.
Yah, great tactic.

Aren't you glad you did tho Arolte? 10.3 is so much better than 10.2...
If you don't want to spend the $, don't buy it. Your machine won't suddenly stop working when 10.4 ships, and it will be years before much software requires 10.4.
/me thinks people gripe about Apple charging for updates because most of their users actually _want_ the updates.
Maybe 10.4 will be so great that $129 seems like a bargain. ;-)

Actually, it won't be years before software requires it. I'm guessing that Safari will probably require 10.4 about three months after it comes out. Not to mention any new iLife apps and the such. . . :/ Anyway, I'm sure the OS will be worth the price (espeically since I'm a student and can get it for $70 :D)

I think they "neglected" to put copy protection on their upgrades for a reason.
