Exactly the same problem on my side. 3.3.5 fixed a lot, but after an hour or so of playing, the game becomes choppy, and I have to either restart or change the monitor resolution, so I suppose it's a problem with textures.

10.3. But also occuring with GeForce equipped Macs. Not ATI exclusive.
It's actually a problem with any cards that can do APPLE_vertex_array_range which is all recent cards except the Rage128.
Try turning off dovertexbuffers.

Turning vertex buffers off cuts my FPS in half, making it nearly unplayable near most stations. D'oh. I think I'll stick with the bug for now.
