Vendetta and Dual Displays

Hmm. I just fixed the Updater Crashing on exit problem and it will be in the next update.
I don't know about the multiple cursors though.
That tended to happen with me when I was in window mode and switching back and forth between Vendetta and Terminal a few times (for debugging). I think something is losing track of the cursor visibility counter in that case. I don't know if it's related to your problem though.

I played a bit of Vendetta a year or so ago, thought I 'd give it a try again with the new G4 1.25 MHz, Radeon 8500, two monitors, OSX 10.3.1. The updater ran then crashed, I tried it under 10.2.8 from the other HD, same thing. Trashed it, tried downloading again, no luck.
Then I set the monitors to mirror; the updated ran, crashed, but Vendetta started.
I've switched back from mirroring and the updater runs, crashes, but Vendetta does start now. By the way, I have the system cursor on top of the Vendetta cursor.

Hey. I'm running in dual display mode now and I get a little quirk while running Vendetta.

When Vendetta is running in full screen mode on monitor a, I can get the cursor over to monitor b from the ESC menu but I can't actually _see_ the cursor. I know it's over there, though, because I can click on stuff.

I'm using a dual 867mhz G4 with a GeForce 4 MX.

Any ideas? Thanks!

We hide the cursor in Vendetta.
Normally if you click outside of Vendetta it should bring the cursor back, but that's not guaranteed. There is no work-around at this time.

I get the cursor back if I click outside of Vendetta in windowed mode, but not in the situation described above. I'll ask again in a few months to find out if there's a work-around. :)

I'd really like to see Vendetta support multiple monitors. Back in the REAL early 90's, I used to play Doom, and it supported up to four monitors--You could designate a monitor for your left, right, or rear views.

Come on, who wouldn't want an excuse for that third 23 Inch Apple HD display? :-D

As far as I know they do support "surround gaming", which would allow you to have a left, center, and right monitor. I don't think it supports a rear view. I was trying to multi-task, though, not to have Vendetta on both screens.
