I'm on a 1.8 G5 and Ventedda freezes up at the "Loading" screen. Anyone else have this problem?

I have a 1.8 G5 with the Radeon 9600 Pro, and have no such problem. What graphics card do you have?

Crap, nVidia GeForce FX problems better not be cropping up again.

*sigh*

/me stares at his newly ordered 12" PB which uses an nVidia GeForce FX card

Bummer....I have the nVidia GeForce card...

I DID get it to run last night...but it WAY slow and choppy...my g4 with the Radeon 9000 pro card was MUCH better.

Hmmm...think I can swap the cards?

OS X 10.2.8 is out... but it's not for the PowerMac G5. Just for G3 and G4-based Macs.

Novasolis, I have no idea what's going on. What resolution and all are you running at? What monitor do you have? What else is connected to the G5? How much RAM do you have?

There are some mild driver problems with my machine. In America's Army, the skybox on overcast/nighttime missions refuses to load, and I am left with oddly traced blocks of black/yellow/green/blue/white.

In Warrior Kings, regardless of the settings, the entire screen is painted reed.

I'm pretty sure it's the graphics card. Vendetta has had various problems with nVidia cards in the past for OS X. I'm guessing some new ones are cropping up.

Arolte: hmmm...I guess I should get on the horn with an Apple rep and confirm that I can pull the Radeon 9000 Pro card I have in my G4 and put it in my G5...

I should think that it would work just fine...

Or buy the new Radeon! :-D

Careful, it's an AGP 8x bus, I hope it's backwards compat (I know SerialATA won't work with older ATA drives, so I have to buy new drives or firewire cases).

Nope...I confirmed it with an Appl rep. 4X agp cards will not work on an 8x AGP bus...

*whew* Glad I called...

But now I have to save up for a new damn card!

That's weird. They're supposed to.
