New 17" MacBook Pro - battery removed and other stuff
Seems as though the battery is serviceable on the new 17". Well, as soon as third party manufactures start to make them anyways.
Good article, if you like taking stuff apart like me . ;)

Yeah... but I've only made bad experiences with third-party apple batteries. Do you know any reliably good ones?
My friend bought a replacement battery for his older PowerBook from this place and hasn't had any issues that I'm aware of.

We'll see, but yea.. I get your point toshiro. And, the god most awful place to buy batteries for pretty much anything is Batteries Plus stores.

Hehe, yeah.
But thanks a lot for the link, I'll be putting it under scrutiny and probably even test it, once I get around to swapping the fans on my old G4 Powerbook.
I'd really be interested in a 15" MacBook Pro with matte screen and built-in battery, though. I guess it's only a matter of time.
