just download vendetta and really want to give it a try.

it keeps freezing at the login screen. i can move the cursor and tried to get into the options to maybe turn down the graphics but no matter where i am it seems to freeze right when the music starts.

sometimes the music starts to skip and sometimes not but either way everything else is frozen.

any ideas.

1.25 GHz PowerPC G4
1 GB RAM
ATI Radeon 9000 Pro

i managed to get it to start by going into the config.ini file and changing:
doshaders=1 to doshaders=0

i then had to go into the video options and turn the shading off to prevent config file to reverting back each time i restarted.

game is running great now with all video options on highest settings except the shading turned off.

i'm i missing anything this way?
and any ideas what this all really means?

For me, the client loads up (before login) at:

201MB real memory
1.6GB virtual memory

So, your game will be pagefaulting to disk. Thus you should, minimally, expect a low frame rate & jumpy music. You can drop all the graphic & audio functions to their lowest settings; or, consider purchasing more memory.

PS: The command "/fps" will display your in game frame rate.
