acceleration not staying
Hi has anyone had a problem were the acceleration does not stay at what you set it to, goes back down after releasing the accelerate button and no im not pushing the turbo button.
Anyone want to field this one? I've got a couple theories, but I'm not sure about any of them.
Uh, yes...
I've had similar things happen, where my brakes would be stuck, so to speak. Relogging, sometimes even just hitting the brakes usually worked. If that doesn't do it, please provide more information.

If it's a recurring problem, you might try writing a custom acceleration bind.
I actually had a problem with the acceleration being stuck. So thats the opposite of your problem. never could pin the problem down.
I hope this isnt the ancient bug (feature).
If you hold, for example, x, then shift, then release x, what you are in fact doing is releasing X, not x. Thus x is still "held down". So if you tap x, it's a press and release, and the release is read. Seems toshi's x is brakes, and mdaniels' x is accel.
Before you go screaming BUG! pause for a moment and think how this can be advantageous.

Maybe you have some other key stuck or something? Just a thought.
