now it works again. 1.1 had stopped working here. 1.2 all ok.
Version 1.2 still doesn't work here, sorry :(
It worked yesterday, and now it doesn't.
I made my own parser today, now I'm setting it up so that it won't bombard the active user page unnecessarily.
Say hello to 1.3.
Only change is where it gets the user list from and what key it uses to split it up.

Woohooo, it works now! Love this widget :)
v1.4 now gets the userlist from a script on vo-wiki, which should be much more stable.

Sorry for the constant changes in userlist sources guys.

Holy **** this is so much more awesome than my feeble attempt a few months ago :)
Thanks Lemming

Lemming this RULES! It works with Growl for event notifications and EVERYTHING! Wow. Nice.
Thanks guys, it's really nice to know people enjoy the widget. :)
I come bearing gifts! 1.5 has fixed the issue where Growl notifications would not work under certain circumstances! All bugs that are my fault (not say, Apple's) are fixed. The issue was that variables the Growl function used to count upwards were not reset between logon checks and logoff checks. Woo!
v1.5

Excellent work . I'm really impressed, you could make a career out of widget writing.

It works, exceptionally well, too... but when I just yesterday moved by approx 1000km, with my pBook left on the entire time (it slept in between, like me), VAUW had problems adjusting to the change in network locations (via WLAN before, now via LAN). The problem went away with a restart (I feel like a windows user), but hot-swappability would be a nice-to-have feature. Just saying.
We still wuvs your widgets, Lem. ;)

If the widget can't connect after 5 attempts of 10 second intervals, it will stop trying as it causes a spike in processor usage. The next time dashboard is open it will try again. It might have to do with how it retrieves pages, I'll look into it.
Also, you can restart a widget by hitting apple-r when it has focus.

Interesting! Thanks for the quick follow-up and the instructions.
man, unfortunately the widget seems to work at first, then after a few days it stops refreshing? I cant get it to show an updated list.

I'm having the same problem.
Okay, v1.6 has the code that disables updating when it can't connect disabled. This should be the only code that stops the updating, and should hopefully be the source of the problem. I haven't gotten around to investigating toshiro's problem yet.

Thanks. It's working for now. I'll let you know if there are any other problems.
The download isn't working. =/
