Maybe I should go for an intel mac instead of a Dual Core G5....

The 20" imac isn't working yet for this. They're still working on it.
Video drivers might take awhile, since afaik the BIOS is only emulating a generic VESA device, and I think Catalyst drivers use both kernel-based and BIOS-based hooks.
i think it is simply awful they are calling it 'the final solution'. sort of like when apple co-opted the Malcolm X logo for their idiotic operating system. a corporation of geeks who dont bother to read history, watch important films, or participate in anything that is not 'insanely great'. like real life.
Dammit, I still don't have the money to buy an iMac CD! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha, this is from the offical boot camp page:
"EFI and BIOS
Macs use an ultra-modern industry standard technology called EFI to handle booting. Sadly, Windows XP, and even the upcoming Vista, are stuck in the 1980s with old-fashioned BIOS. But with Boot Camp, the Mac can operate smoothly in both centuries"
"Word to the Wise
Windows running on a Mac is like Windows running on a PC. That means it’ll be subject to the same attacks that plague the Windows world. So be sure to keep it updated with the latest Microsoft Windows security fixes."
Haha, apple pwned pc's. I love you apple.

Hah, yeah I was gonna post that. Awesome.

Hmmmm.... should be right about the same time that Spore comes out!
Oh, by the way, anyone wanna buy a dual 2.0 G5? Comes with Vendetta 1.5.5 pre-installed!!

Anybody know if bootcamp has GPU support?
Edit - ah, nevermind. It does.

I would Gavan but shipping would kill it :P
Nah, no problems Moldy, I'll ship it via UPCatapult.
It'll be there in a matter of minutes!

I'm running it on my MacBook, it's blazing fast, as I guess should be expected.
There are drivers for everything, including the Bluetooth, and the wireless, sound, regular ethernet, etc. all work perfectly, with the exception of the camera. Clicking on the camera (which shows up as a generic USB camera) bluescreens and automagically reboots.
There is ONE (1) Windows app that I absolutely have to run, and now I don't have to maintain a second machine to run it. All my other machines have stopped quaking in fear, and are much more relaxed now.

It feels strange. Almost... empty. A 20 and more years struggle, suddenly coming to an end in a few hours. We won.
Of course, there'll be people who'll buy pure PC machines still. Probably far more than those who buy macs. But we will know that now, there is absolutely NO reason (apart from prizing), whatsoever, ever, to buy a PC instead of a mac.
Now, the day when OS X runs all windows apps natively without dual-booting, that is the day when the struggle truly ends...

the strugle will never end, if Apple were to truly dominate the personal computer market, it would probably be broken up in acordance with US anti-trust laws.
after all there was an attempt to do the same thing to microsoft a while back and they only produce software.
