Could have been worse. I kept hearing people going "I can't wait for Macintels" for months since the WWDC announcement.

macintels would have been very stupid indeed. Aside from the name, the new mac book pro's are awesome.

So how long until Guild ports the VO client to native Macintel binary?

They'll need an Intel Mac first, or some such.

indeed they will, everyone scrape together some money and buy an intel mac for the devs, then send it to my house... i'll make sure they get it >:D

did u notice.. no more 12 and 17 inch macbooks pro.. just 15.4 with 1440x900 res!

Oh I don't think the 12 and 17 are gone, just delayed. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the 12 became a 13.3 though.

What is cool is that this isn't just an awesome Mac powerbook, but it's also damn strong against the wintels too. I was worried Apple would keep with their practise of using anaemic graphics cards but I think the x1600 should do very very nicely.

Technically it's a 1600 mobility in the MacBook Pro. I'm not sure how much different it is from the regular 1600.

I don't want to discourage you from buying us an intel mac ;) but we can compile for it without having one. Testing will be harder.

Just be ready to slap the "Universal" icon on the box.

Tell, me will they have the dual core and waud core towers with Intel chips? I am not buying one of those G5s so it falls over an dbreaks (I have bad techno luck).
