Problematic Meteors
Sometime my meteors cannot decide what they look like. Sometimes they even look like they have the matrix code on them! Does anyone else hae this problem? Mybe a problem with my textures?
I'm not at all sure what you mean by "meteors" nin. I have sometimes had letters
appear on planets in the background, but this clears up if you exit the sector and
re-enter it again. More information please.

I mean sometimes my asteroids change textures randomly! I''ll try and take a SS, but it's random. I have not tried to mine from them yet...
Whoa! The textures on the asteroids change before your eyes?? Now I am really
confused. Yes, a few screenshots would be enlightening.

Yeah, I had this problem, it's a texture mapping issue. One of the devs told me how to fix it, but I forget what the fix was. Adjusting the graphics/video settings seemed to help.
I had this problem a while ago. You are running Mac OS X 10.2.x and there's a fundamental flaw in the graphics drivers for ATI chips.
You can sometimes temporarily "fix" the problem by changing resolution or color depth, which forces a texture reload. However, in truth, the OS is already going unstable at this point and you should really quit Vendetta and reboot the computer. If you don't, it will eventually crash the OS (usually when you quit Vendetta), resulting in possible loss of data.
The real fix is to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.3 or 10.4.

Interesting. I did have some "interesting" probs when I was running OSX 10.2.X,
but nothing like that. Ah. But I was using an nVidia chipset. Still, when I bumped
the comp up to 10.3.X, it DID make a huge difference. Good call Screwball.

well screwball, that's intersting seeing as how I'm already running 10.4.4.
Well who knows, perhaps they broke it again... The symptoms you described were exactly what I experienced frequently under 10.2 and have never experienced under 10.3. Here's what I saw back in beta, before I upgraded:
If I left it like this for a while, eventually the textures on stations, the background, and other objects would start getting corrupted, sometimes even cycling rapidly between different textures. By this point, the whole OS would almost always crash upon exiting the VO client.
