Hi,

just downloaded VO and installed fine, on Windows XP. When I run the program the updater says it's patching from 1.1.0 to 1.1.8.4, but doesn't actually start. It just sits there with no internet activity and a message of "Negotiating update to vendetta-1.1.8.4"

I've tried turning off the firewall, but this didn't fix the problem. I've tried turning off the antivirus live protect features too, again no effect. Is there a known problem with this? Or are there certain times of the day/night that the servers don't run? I'm accessing from Australia, so probably not downloading in prime time.

No, there's no scheduled server downtime, and historically this issue has been the fault of a firewall. We had one person who turned of their firewall, had problems, and turned it off again and got through. That was the XP firewall as I recall. We've also had people on networks who have forgotten about their router firewall.

I'm also having a issue like that, mine won't update. I've turned off my firewall, my virus scan. Went back to the computer where the router is hooked up and turned off all firewalls there. I looked up my wireless network and checked to see what kind of firewall it used it just used my windows firewall which I had turned off. I can't find any more firewalls... Is there a firewall anywhere else that I missed?

I tried the updator for ragnarok and it works fine, so I'm clueless here.

Does your router have a firewall that could be blocking it?
