maybe, move to windows?
Repost again when nVidia releases their driver that supports 9.0c (the non-beta version).
I would recommend waiting for nVidia to fix their drivers before installing the 61.77 drivers. I had upgraded to the latest driver 61.77 (running WinXP). This caused my system to blue screen when waking up from sleepmode with a message to the effect of "nv4_disp.dll is stuck in an infinite loop". Tried rolling back the driver, uninstalling and down grading. No change. Finally had to go into safe mode (with networking) and delete *all* existing nVidia files and let Windows connect to Windows Update to download the version on their website. Royal pain in the butt.
That looks like 9.0c Alien, and
61.77 drivers are out now (DX 9.0c support)...

I was tired. Sue me.
WARNING: The 61.77 drivers aren't WHQL. They are unsigned so W2K/XP users, install them at your own risk.

Paedric, they were signed when I got them.
Yeah, although I couldnt understand the scribble.
WHQL is a joke. Who cares if they are signed or not?
You should name yourself "Mister Negative" or "Mr. -" for brevity.
I upgraded to DirectX 9.1, and also updated my video drivers. Then when next I logged on my radar was dead. I had to change the driver from "Directx8.1 GKGL" to "Open Reference GKGL" in order for the radar to work again; however, the game allowed me to set better graphic settings with this driver.
Still, I assumed there'd be a 9.1 driver by now...

Yeah, I've had a dx9 driver for a while in testing and it seems fine. The last time I tested it on other machines the game came up black though. I think it was because I was using the prerelease drivers and I haven't tested since. I should do that again.
So when can we expect to see it the new driver? a couple of months or so?
