The Startup splash and loading screens go fine, but since this is a new install it insists on the training demo before giving me a log-in option, but only shows me the game controller for control options (I use HOTAS), and as soon as I click "start demo" or hit escape to try to see the options menu, the screen goes black (tho the music continues...)

Unistalled and re-installed, but same result.

Is there something I'm missing? It's been so long...
