Why is the game free to play on android but not on PC? I really love the game on my phone so I wanted to try it on my PC but to my suprise the game isn't free to play anymore, which really suchs by the way. Please explain this to me. like i said i really love the game.

Actually, its f2p with limitations on android and iOS - namely, the gems, and a liscence cap at 4. For 1$ a month you can move over to PC in an "extended trial" phase, then use a 10$ a month sub to play without cap, gems, and with a few other benefits.
This game was originally a pc subscription-based game; it launched in 2002 (published 2004), and has been worked on by around 4 guys the entire time.
The game has a microtransaction service through crystals and a limited livery set, but it still has its roots as a subscription-based game. As a small team with a large game yet small community, the subscription service is what keeps the servers online and the developers updating the game.
While the devs have done their best in porting the game to run on android and iOS (while keeping it as a single persistant universe across platforms), the general consensus is that such devices are better for the more tame side of VO (mining, trading, escorts, and other light missions) while high end pvp will remain difficult, and the largest sector battles may have trouble rendering depending on your device.
Anyways, i highly suggest you try to actually subscribe to the game, at least a lite sub, so that you can try it out on PC while supporting the devs. They certainly deserve it with all the work they've put into VO, and it wont be wasted money, since you can spend years of entertainment for the price of a pizza. I've been here since december 2015 (two years now) and still enjoy VO and have much to do in it, pve and pvp wise.
