XP support was dropped some time ago. Yes it sucks for people who have a real reason to run XP, but it does not suck from a development viewpoint. I mean, the game did run on Windows 98 at some point, and on 3DFX cards. Does it make sense that they keep support for this too, just because they once did?

There really is no reason for a game in active development to support an OS that is 17 years old, especially if building against the newer versions give more available features (DX 11) and possibly a performance boost (VS 2013). What if a bug cropped up that only affected XP users, but would take a lot of dev time to fix? I know what I would rather do.
