<DELETED>

heh this has nothing to do with AGP.
AA = antialiasing.
MonkRX, yeah, email me your screenshots. The tga files are targa images. Zip them up and email them to me.

oh. heheh. i wan't even thinking the past few times i posted in this. i really need to start getting more sleep as the lack of it is really starting to take its toll.
Ok, I looked into this and the same thing happens with our gfFX5900. only 2x,3x,4xAA are available.
The reason is that the other AA modes are only available with DirectX 9 apps and Vendetta currently uses DirectX 8.1.
So you'll have to wait until we switch to the DirectX 9 interface.

by that time, DX10 will be out :P
Yes... But it won't go to 8x inside the game...
Also i just found out im running a slightly old driver... Its 45.23 so i'll update it to 52.16 and i'll see what happens...

The new Driver runs the game faster, yet i still can't get to 8x AA.
(a new problem emerges)
Now when i put the AA to 4x, spots appear over the station (i was at s9)... I have these pictures 'dumped' using *F12* (the .tga files) Should i send those to you? How? Are they pictures to begin with :\?

----maybe your AGP max is 4x.----
heh...
heh...
My Anti-Aliasing (is that how you spell it?) won't go past 4x, and im pretty sure my card can go to 8x...
I have a Geforce FX5900 (non-ultra), and an AMD Athlon XP... Whats wrong?

Hmm, interesting.
Can you force it to 8xAA in the NVidia drivers?

/me uses 6xaa all the time...
Nice bump. This was like my first post.
...And we do have a DirectX 9-specific driver now, but we're sticking with 8.1 for now to retain compatibility.
We can, of course, offer both in the future (but the DX9 stuff has issues on computers that aren't Ray's and it's never been a priority to fix that, or even to write it in the first place...)

But you could offer it in the same driver menu that lets me use OpenGL? Because maybe DX9 would fix the bugs that I have with the DX8.1 driver...
Or maybe some of us have DX9 cards and want to play with all the fancy bells and whistles.
I should check to see if the dx9 driver works on other people's computers since MS released dx9c a few weeks ago.
That too alienb... :p
