Oculus Support could be improved

I am a first time player to vendetta online and came here due to the added Rift support. I gotta say its pretty cool to play it in the Rift, it does feel quite more immersive then it normally would, and whats cooler is being able to just freely look around when you are in turbo mode or flying thats great and makes traveling from one point to another more fun. but a few issues:

1) the main thing is the view seems a tad zoomed in, in game fov wise, and also the view itself in the rift is like looking at a big screen as its not quite set up for a fuller viewing distance in the rift yet. with an update please try to make the oculus rift screen size renders bigger. and maybe adjust the in game fov a bit more so it doesnt seem quite as "zoomed in" when playing. also the menu 2d elements seem a bit wobbly when viewwing and perhaps the in game interface the menus could be zoomed out a bit more. not sure.... also i think this was mentined on the site itself that the 3d maybe could be improved a bit. (that may be in combination with the boxed in feel as well)

also it seems yaw correction support is a must for this (or at least a button /key you can press to reset it. as i do notice it drifting a bit.

but that said.....it really is pretty cool and i think one of the most promising games on the Rift. because it features a very large "universe" and options besides just pew pew pew, as with trading and mining and exploring. I think that is needed in a space game as i played a few other "space demos" but most of them were focused only on combat. so its nice to have a few options with this game.

once some of the issues with the Rift are fixed /improved i think this will be an awesome game for anyone to try out with the Rift.. its very nice you offer a trial too though a bit short on the time..but i went ahead an ordered a boxed copy of the game (since you get a poster map with it and it ended up costing me 2 bucks less then paying 10 bucks a month hehe).

and i didnt realize how huge each sector is. thats pretty awesome too lots of space to explore for sure.

anyways..... thanks for adding Oculus Rift support its "decent' for now. but it could be improved for sure.

but still good enough for me to play using it :-). cant way to see how it goes!

You can change the FOV by doing /set fov xxx on the chat. Dunno if that works on the Oculus, but it works for the normal game HUD.

Where'd you find the old retail box for sale? :)

Thanks for the suggestions. The FOV is not changeable on the Rift and is the value that their API returns.

Anyone have a link to the website or file that has the controls for changing setting with the rift? I can't seem to find anything.
