Keypad keys
I'm trying to bind my keypad keys to their own functions. For instance, I want to use keypad 2/4/6/8 to strafe around.
Problem is, I use the arrow keys themselves to turn, and want to use the number keys on the top row to select weapons. So, if I use Num Lock on, I can't bind the weapons, and if I use Num Lock off, I can't bind the turning keys.
I'm wondering how to properly keybind keypad keys to functions without them being considered the same as their counterparts on the main keyboard?

I don't think you can bind them differently because the game sees them as the same key.
What you could do is bind your weapon groups to !@#$%^ instead of 123456, since you'll be strafing a lot more than you switch weapon groups. You'd just have to press shift+1-6 instead of just 1-6m.

I'm surprised that in this day and age a Windows game can't figure out the difference between the number 1 key and the keypad 1 key.
I worked around this by using a key mapper, but given it requires a restart every time I want to do it, it's not encouraged me to play much.

Don't think ASCII has changed much regardless of hardware versions...
