VO won't recognize extra mouse buttons
Yet another windows has crap peripheral drivers thread (Fuck you Intel, make a proper openGL linux driver). Running windows 7, latest version of setpoint.
My Logitech mouse can't make use of the tilt wheel and thumb mouse buttons, those that in ubuntu are easily assigned as XMBUTTON3-5 (1,2 are forward back, those work for some reason).
I've tried running setpoint as admin, I've tried setting it permanently run as admin. Tried assigning the buttons to generic. No go. It's as if the buttons in question don't have input events when pressed, or whatever the term is.

I've got a 5-button mouse on my laptop and might be able to test this in win7 too. Are you using the silly tools that Logitech ships with the mouse or just the basic HID driver?
Funny though, VO runs better on that laptop in Linux and it's got an Intel GPU...

both, and seems as though both only recognize the first 5 buttons. It's as if windows doesn't recognize input from more than 5 buttons.
The game recognizes up to 10 mouse buttons but it's up to windows to send them to the game. I don't know what the maximum number of standard mouse buttons is that windows recognizes.
I shall re-rail the thread into: which windows driver works with logitech mice and doesn't suck? the default logi driver does nothing useful
