Video Driver / Gamma problems
Hi there,
I recently went on vacation for a week, and prior to that everything about VO was working soundly. I run Windows Vista btw.
Since I have come back, I cannot change my Video Driver, and for some reason it now says I have a DirectX 8 and DirectX 9 driver, when the normally it just displays DirectX 9. This version of Vista is shipped with DirectX 10 (wich also seems odd). If I try and change the driver the game freezes on a black screen and I have to use task manager to shut it down manually. I have an OpenGL driver, but prior to this I always used the DirectX 9 driver (there was no DirectX 8 option before). The OpenGL works, but the FPS is bad and it's extremely dark...
Also, since I have returned the Gamma Correction option in the Video settings tab is no longer working and the game is extremely dark. This used to work (I used to adjust it to make it brighter).
I have no idea what is going on because I havn't touched this computer in a week, it was not plugged into the internet for that duration either.... I don't know if an update messed it up or something else is going on...
Thanks
EDIT: Also my FPS is really crappy just on the default driver when I start up (without trying to change it). It's unplayable... I havn't changed anything with the computer so Im wondering if it's something to do with the game itself because everything else seems to run fine...

More information would help, like what video card do you use.
FYI, there has always been an option to use DX 8.1, All vetrsions of Windows Vista are DX 10, but VO only supports (so far) up to DX9. You could try opening your config.ini (Found in %Programfiles%\Vendetta Online) and change the line that reads VideoDriver=DirectX8.1 GKGL driver to VideoDriver=DirectX9 GKGL driver save the file and launch VO.

AH, on Vista you probably want to copy the config.ini file to your desktop, edit it there, and then copy the file back to your vo folder.
