This is going to seem like a stupid question.

Running on Win XP, launch the game, update utility launches and I get:

"Checking update program...
Connecting to update1.vendetta-online.com:21024...
Connection failed: cannot send
Connecting to update2.vendetta-online.com:21024...
Connection failed: cannot send
Can't reach any Guild Software update server!

My firewall is what ships with Win XP and I have enabled Vendetta as an exception. I followed the link in the update window, but (to my shame) I have no idea how to enable enable outbound connections to the two hosts.

Could anyone please help this dunce?

Never mind - it must have been a connection or server issue - it is fine now.

I'm getting exactly the same right now, except most of the times I try, it just hangs after the 2nd line.

mine keeps saying that and freezes at about 2100ish KBs and just stays there idk what 2 do, any help??

also after it freezes, this pops up in my files folder:

Winsock.log and it says this

i have no clue what it means rly
