Vista - Major Issues with Vendetta
A few days ago, installed 10 updates that are part of the normal update package, however, after installing these, i have to try 5 or 6 times and sometimes more, to get vendetta to boot fully without freezing, or unresponsive .dll's like unhooker.dll
and ucavsound.dll (i may have spelt the last one wrong)
any help would be appreciated

So, it's not consistently the same problem? I strongly suggest you run a deep scan on your hard drive, and at a minimum defragment the drive- the updates may have moved files to locations on the drive that are in the process of failing, or split them up so much that reassembling them when they're called for takes too long.
You mentioned a ucavsound.dll- I'll assume it's actually cwavsound.dll, and recommend you look into the
various Vista sound problems threads, and this one post in particular: http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/4/15949?page=2#234348
Playing around with those config.ini settings may help if your hard drive is fine.

Verify your hardware works properly. Test RAM, don't overclock cpu/video card, make sure nothing is overheating.
I have the same problem. The hardware is a brand-new Lenovo T61 notebook with Vista. No overheating, overclocking or RAM problems.
VO hangs at start-up, it shows two stars in the left bottom corner that probably should indicate the texture loading process.
[Update]
Ok, after some testing: it seems that VO crashes always, when the notebook runs on battery or when the fan is running (overheating?). Maybe some conflicts with energy management?

VO crashed my brand new computer for the first time the other day while i was quitting VO. The crash reverted everything in VO to its default settings and deleted all of my saved roid information from the targetless app. It made me very sad.
