I read all over and tried a few fixes that didnt work until I did this:

1. Open up the config file in your Vendetta Online game folder
2. At the top just insert these 2 lines:
[wavsound]
use_dsound=1
3. Save and close

That should fix the static-drumming that ruins the game. Hope this helps.
