problem getting to play
well I have windows xp and I just recently downloaded the ,got the update and started it up. It works until I select my character and it loads the universe or whatever. it just sits there and does nothing it only says "loading". anybody know why this is?
This sounds like a problem with your firewall, do you use a firewall besides the build in Windows firewall? If so which one?
I agree with yoda, that's classic firewall behaviour. For some reason the Vendetta screen (in full mode) does not yield to the firewall pop-up windows.
Try disabling your firewall, start Vendetta, select your character and get into the game (the station) and then re-enable your firewall. Your firewall will most likely prompt you to tell it how to handle Vendetta then, but without getting screwed up this time.
Alternately, start up Vendetta in windowed mode. This should allow you to see a window from your firewall requesting instructions.

hmm yes i have tried that but it still doesnt work(im using comodo firewall) but it still just kinda freezes up when "entering universe"
Do you use a router, and does it have a firewall? Are you on a network?
edit: Wait, you were able to enter the game when you had the firewall disabled, right?
You might just have to manually add Vendetta.rlb and .exe to your firewall's permission list.

luckey for me i have gotten it working.....but, i wasted 7 1/2 hours troubleshooting (give or take a little) and only had 1/2 hour to play.....oh well
For posterity: What fixed it?
