Hey, having a problem with the patcher. It trys to download the first file of 15k or so but it stops at 10.5k. What can i do?

Can you tell us how you are connecting to the internet? Specifically I wonder if you are going through a router based in a school, a business, apartment complex, or a home network.

I have cable internet at home. I use the D-link with linksys for my other computer which currently is not working. Is that what your asking?

I too am having problems with the patcher, it gets to 17302/19002k and then stops, I've let it sit for an hr, no change, restarted system same results, using cable so its not a speed/bandwidth issue

Same problem here. Running XPSP2, DSL (Qwest) through a Linksys WRT54GS router (wired connection). Installer downloads fine, when I launch it the Update Utility starts and attempts to download the latest version, gets to around 17294 - 17310k of 19003k and hangs. Cancelling and restarting seems to pick up at least some of the old update but continues to hang in the same place. Windows firewall is not enabled; router is running NAT but both ports 21024 and 21141 are forwarded; tried putting this box into the DMZ, no change.

Suggestions?
