I'd consider it, but it currently is not possible for guides to teleport or heal the cap ships. If/when this changes, something like what has been described could occur.
How about just the 1st part of my proposal. Just pick a time and let us know when the cap ship will be spawned. If the userbase has some advanced warning we could all plan to be there. Even if the cap ships arrive at different times we could still have one heck of a fight if enough people knew about it beforehand.
Since most of the events in the game have been planned by players I don't mind planning and publishing the event. All I really need is a time to post. And we could lay sown some ground rules so players will at least wait till Sedina B8 to attack the cap ships.
Thanks as always for considering my suggestion.

I will spawn cap ships in the nation home sectors today at 6:00pm PST. If that turns out to be too late, we could choose a more suitable time and perhaps have an East coast guide do the spawning next time.
I also tend to spawn them in the evenings after 7:30pm PST unless there has already been a lot of cap ship activity.

What are the qualifications for being a guide anyway?
And yes, I liked the original idea of them WARPING from the capitals. The long boring flight seperates them by too much time.
[EDIT] And while we're at it, we could have them warp back too, on schedule. It would completely take care of the way-to-boring-and-long transportation problem!

The long boring trip was to provide opportunity for gathering gunners and escorts, ambushing the enemy cap ship, etc. As I mentioned, guides cannot warp bots currently. At some point they may make it so that they all arrive at the same time, but keep in mind that the capships visiting Sedina is a temporary measure to test the cap ships and to add a little fun.
The guide question should be in another thread.

*medication finally wears off*
Hey, that was a dig against me, wasn't it?

could the itani ship depart before the others so that there is a chance that they all will be in b8 at the same time?
Or better yet, have them all go to the Odia side of the Odia-Bractus WH.
Good ideas, but not something a guide can do at the moment.
How about Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 5pm EDT. That would give enough people time to prepare to be there. And since its 9pm GMT it wouldn't be to late for people in europe.
If you agree to the time i'll post some general rules to the roleplaying forum and let people know so they can plan on being there.
I was also thinking we can attempt to slow the UIT and serco ships down a little by hailing them. They won't arrive at Sedina B8 but we could make them arrive a little closer together.
Thanks again.

If only the cap ships came closer to each other! Could you imagine the fun of having the cap ships come side to side and fire a full half their turrets on each other?
of course, the cap ships would die even faster, but it would look cool.

Just give the cap ships 1,000,000,000 health. THAT would make it seem like a real cap ship. Like on Starwars when the fight they death star. Then (using starwars termanology) Star Destroyers can have like less than half of that.
How about Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 5pm EDT or 9pm GMT.
All i need is a comfirmation that a guide will be online and i'll do the rest.
Thanks
