How UIT players can get the N3
i hear lots of uit players complaining about how they want the n3, but that they cant get it. Problem solved!
If the losing faction has less player deliveries than the uit players (deliveries to either nation) then uit players get the N3 aswell.
If uit players deliver more cargo to either nation than the winning nation (player deliveries only) then only UIT gets the N3, and they get 20% reduction in their delivered ammounts the next week (this would also affect how many deliveries the Itani and Serco get as any delivery by a uit would count as only 80%).

Why the 20% reduction? Neither the Itani nor the Serco have this restriction currently. That would still be unfair to the UIT.

UIT are not engaged in war. They are not mass producing military grade weapons. This has be discussed many, many times over.
And anyway, at this point the N3 really isn't the end-all and be-all of a weapon. The AAP is arguably as good or better.

No, but to retain neutrality when you're as strategic an entity as the UIT would require either: A difficult to reach locale (see Switzerland, WWII), or weapons to protect their neutrality.
Furthermore, entities of trade tend to have the best weapons and devices, as they are the only place where the technologies mingle.

Interesting idea...
I tend to agree with Beolach, however: the n3 is an advanced military weapon, and the UIT don't have the capacity to manufacture it. If they did, they would probably be given a third destination where the xith ore could be taken.
I would prefer to add the ability to trade eq between players, that way a serco could sell neut IIIs to a UIT if the price was right. If serco were more inclined to offer cheap weapons to the UIT, then this would give the UIT more incentive to help the Serco in the CtC wars... hey, a whole new level of politics!

As far as the UIT being an "entity of trade" this is true, and we see it reflected in a lot of the special ship variants that are available around UIT space. But if players could trade weapons then the UIT *would* get the nIII by virtue of being an entity of trade, not because they manufacture it themselves.
