My suggestions
From just my 30 minutes of play i've noticed a few major issues.
What needs to be done:
I'll start with the targeting system.
Now as most of you know you have your blue firing circle and your green direction thingy, when attempting to enter combat i am in no control of what direction the blue circle is going, if their is a way to contorl it with some kind of key please let me know, but if there is no such key, i suggest removal of the blue circle targeting systme and fire using the green direction thingy, this way the combat is simplier for players, and also less irritating when your guns seem to fire in the opposite direction your ship is going.
Second:Leaving station
When leaving the tutorial station I noticed the blue sheild type thing, honestly in my opinion it should be removed or enhanced, it serves no purpose, and is degrading the look of such a beautiful game!
Thrid: Interface
1. The Chat box needs to be smaller and centered on the top of the screen
2. Shift should be the avtivate key
3. Enter should open up a chat bar for your current chatroom
4. The inventory on the left hand side really serves no purpose, elminate/ reduce the size/ or creat a tab below the chat screen for it.
5. Have the targeting box in the upper right hand corner able to be clicked away completey
6. The two maps on the bottom seem to both be the same freaking map, remove one and make the other smaller in the right hand lower corner.
7. The green ship thing on the rght hand side, To me it doesnt serve much of a purpose, removing and/or making it smaller and on the bottom should fix this.
8. The two speed bars should be moved down to the a new lower bar, like the inventory, the maps, and the targeting box.
fourth: tutorial!
The tutorial is pretty good actually but one thing could be done to enhance it and basically get a new player more invovled in the game, you need voice acting for the tutorial, the Ex- eatrh and beyond tutorial was a great example of this.
fifth: Warping
1.Remove the 3000m distance restiction, it just slows down gameplay, also bores the hell out of people.
2.the warp sequence should be longer, as the quick little orange trail thing is cutting it for me.
Ok the bad parts over guys now ill give you what I like.
One: The graphics are above average and really give the game a nice look.
Two: Having to dock your own ship makes the game more realistic/ good job!
Three: The AI is smart, maybe alittle to diffcult for beginning players like me, but nevertheless the AI does give a good challenge
Four: The in-station menu is very slick/ the pictures on items however need to be less fuzzy.
Five: The textures on asteriods and the planets are absolutely great!
Six: Effects such as the frist weapon when it fires look great.
Seven: The Game runs very smoothly for the level of graphics I have it on, very nice work with the 3d engine
Now here is my suggestions:
1. Allow players to create a real avatar, a full body avatar
2. use this avatar also for walking around stations and going to different stores/shops
3. Change the universal map system, nice but the background doesn't fit.
Overall the game is good, but the interface needs a make over, it's not user friendly.

The targetting system... You can't change where it is... This is a lead for you to aim at so you cna hit the enemy and it is based on the nemies movement... Green direction thing? Not too sure what you mean by that one.
Thoe things were place to keep players from staying there and blocking exits to cause tele-fragging (Or somethign like that). Odds are we will see mroe eyecandy after we get more content.
The interface can be changed and I have yet to encoutner any issues with it... Although it is odd at first with the chat activation but you get used to it quickly.
Warping... You haven't played nearly long enough to understand why it is important. In pvp it would be badd to have a person jusr warp instantly and it would mean no pirating at all. The other issue is it wouldn't feel right to warp through an asteroid.
I am not certain but I believe they hsot down the idea of having an avatar. I think a portrait wouldn't be bad to look at and have it show up for personal communications but I don't think waking around is nescessary.

How do you adjust the interface? elaborate please, Also if youve ever heard of a game called earth and beyond their walking around system in stations and on planets is what sold the game, unfornate the game was shut down due to bad management on EA's part.
Player v Player is abad thing for any mmorpg, it cuases account cancelations, by the way, people can warp instantly, thats what im agrueing against.

"Now as most of you know you have your blue firing circle and your green direction thingy, when attempting to enter combat i am in no control of what direction the blue circle is going, if their is a way to contorl it with some kind of key please let me know..."
The blue circle indicates where your ships nose is pointing. The greenish crosshair indicates where your camera is pointing. Depending on your ship, controller settings, and whether or not you have mouselook on, the view and the heading may not be the same. It's easy to master once you understand that. See:

"When leaving the tutorial station I noticed the blue sheild type thing, honestly in my opinion it should be removed or enhanced, it serves no purpose, and is degrading the look of such a beautiful game!"
It does serve a purpose. It indicates that the dock is an exit only. Entrances have floodlight, arrows, and are indicated on the radar...and people STILL get it confused.
"2. Shift should be the avtivate key"
That would impact our current ability to bind both upper and lower-case keys to functions. Many games use ENTER.
"3. Enter should open up a chat bar for your current chatroom."
That would be confusing given that we currently have global channel, sector channel, private message, and guild chat all immediately available at your fingertips via bound keys. You could bind ENTER to whatever you like using the CONTROLS menu.
"4. The inventory on the left hand side really serves no purpose, elminate/ reduce the size/ or creat a tab below the chat screen for it."
Assuming you mean the left window in the station, it changes depending on what tab you are under, and is quite necessary. If you mean the in-flight "inventory" on the left, it is actually quite useful to indicate what weapons you have active when you have played long enough to have a ship with multiple weapons that can be configured in different groupings while in flight. The cargo inventory can be toggled using "o".
"5. Have the targeting box in the upper right hand corner able to be clicked away completey"
Ya, that would be cool. A modular HUD was part of the original design spec. It may happen one of these days.
"6. The two maps on the bottom seem to both be the same freaking map, remove one and make the other smaller in the right hand lower corner."
Those would be your fore and aft radar. See:
http://www.vendetta-online.com/manual/hud_radar.html
"7. The green ship thing on the rght hand side, To me it doesnt serve much of a purpose, removing and/or making it smaller and on the bottom should fix this."
Currently it shows damage and indicates where the damage is being taken. This doesn't yet have a bearing on the game...but the game isn't done yet.
"8. The two speed bars should be moved down to the a new lower bar, like the inventory, the maps, and the targeting box."
Those would be the speed and energy bars. It's sort of a design choice as to where they belong. Again, perhaps a modular HUD would address this.
"The tutorial is pretty good actually but one thing could be done to enhance it and basically get a new player more invovled in the game, you need voice acting for the tutorial, the Ex- eatrh and beyond tutorial was a great example of this."
Voicing has been discussed. If it appears it will be much later in the evolution of Vendetta. Again, this is not a complete product yet.
"1.Remove the 3000m distance restiction, it just slows down gameplay, also bores the hell out of people."
That was put in place to create opportunities for combat. The thinking was that if anyone could warp from anywhere, spontaneous combat and piracy would be impossible. The 3k limit is most easily attained by pointing in an obstacle-free direction and hitting TAB for turbo. If you play longer you will discover faster hulls, engines, and beefier batteries that will get you 3k out in a hurry.
"2.the warp sequence should be longer, as the quick little orange trail thing is cutting it for me."
That's just the jump from sector-to-sector. Jumping between systems is more spectacular.
"Three: The AI is smart, maybe alittle to diffcult for beginning players like me, but nevertheless the AI does give a good challenge"
Once you learn the behaviors of the different bots, it gets easier. The AI is still in development. Stick to the Orun and Kannik Collectors at first.
"Four: The in-station menu is very slick/ the pictures on items however need to be less fuzzy."
Many feel the station menu is less than slick (i.e. "cheesy, dated, DOS-like, etc.), but glad you like it.
"1. Allow players to create a real avatar, a full body avatar"
The current design spec is for the ship to be one's avatar. Many have suggested a body instead. If this happens, it will be quite some time in coming. The Vendetta custom game-engine is optimized for space flight flight and would need serious work. The ships will be more customizable in time.
"3. Change the universal map system, nice but the background doesn't fit."
If you are referring to the sector map, the background is a graphical representation of the sector you are in and fits quite well. If you mean the sort of non-descript star field behind the "Zoom to Universe" view, I guess you could be right in that it's dull. I'm not sure making it more busy would ease it's use.
"Overall the game is good, but the interface needs a make over, it's not user friendly."
Agreed. There will be changes, but we'll have to wait for the development wiki to tell us when.

"How do you adjust the interface? elaborate please,"
You can change the key-binding in the Controls menu.
"Also if youve ever heard of a game called earth and beyond their walking around system in stations and on planets is what sold the game, unfornate the game was shut down due to bad management on EA's part."
Everyone is VERY aware of EnB (and all the other major games in the genre), and many refugees from that game live here now. Vendetta is not EnB and is not trying to be, though there are similarities inherent to the genre and just plain good sense. PvP in the form of "twitch-based" combat is a mainstay of Vendetta and is one of the major things that sets it apart. It won't be going away. One can still trade and prospect within national boundaries with little chance of unwanted combat.

Thank you all for your thoughts and responses.
Just a note about the crosshairs, if you don't like the mouselook you can just press ; to go into the mouselock mode, which you might enjoy much more. It also offers slightly faster rotation speed.
