Warp Energy per Battery
This is both a question and a suggestion.
Why do all batteries require a full charge to warp? If it only takes a Fast Charge 250 units of energy to warp, why does a Heavy Battery need 550?
I think this should be changed. I think that all batteries should need to be at 250 to warp. I don't believe that it would be a major boost to anyone, just a move towards a more realistic situation.
It would give pirates a little bit more help in catching people through worm holes, but I think this is a good thing. Right now, if you jump through a worm hole with someone, the WH puts you so far apart that it is near impossible to catch that person, especially if they have an infiniboost trade ship. IMO us pirates need all the help we can get :P

There definitely should be a set ammount of energy that can be used to open a wormhole. Perhaps the free battery is incabable of making wh jumps at all, which would mean your stuck in your home system until you've worked your license up enough to get a good enough battery to go out and explore more. Makes sense also for the pirate aspect.
it does make sense and I strongly agree.
So you pirates can't catch a behemoth or a centaur after a wh jump because you use a heavy battery? There is something wrong here: if you manage to jump with the poor trader, you are not penalised by the full charge rule but by the fact your battery takes longer to recharge.
no no, I have no problem with what happens after you jump.... its when it comes time to jump. You should need the same amount of energy regardless of which battery.
For wormhole warping, I like it the way it is now. The psuedo-science (see the thread softy2 links to) makes as much sense as any psuedo-science, and it adds interesting elements to the gameplay.
But, I'd like in-system jumps to only drain a certain amount, possibly based off ship mass; and always require that the battery is charged at least that much. IMO it makes far less sense that I can make an in-system jump with a completely empty battery, than that I can't warp unless my battery's full.
