Yeah there need s to be more variety in ship design and colours, be totally inventive, go off the rails, do somthing cool. When selecting your ship it should be presented that you can pick it by type, such as cargo, fighter, sports ship? lol

in the station menue under "Buy", there should be menues for you to select what your looking for to then be displayed in the list portal.

The menue could be: (Click one to bring up next menu)

Ships | TradeGoods | Weapons | Equipment

Under "Ships": (Click one to bring up next menu)

Fighter | Transport | Miner

Under "Fighter": (Click one to bring up next menu)

Light | Medium | Heavy | Frigate

Under "Light": (Click one to bring up next menu)

EC | Centurion | Vulture

Under "EC" it brings up all the available models at that station:

EC-88 | EC-98 | EC-101 | EC-107

At this point it's the same, you select the ship, select the color and buy the ship. Then the process would start again with weapons or equipment for outfiting the ship.
